You can set it to tune only the defined amateur bands, or to tune general receive down to 1.5MHz.? Note that it does use bandpass filters for the receiver, designed for the amateur bands, so receive performance may suffer on frequencies well outside amateur bands.

By default, it is set to transmit on only the amateur bands, but you can disable the block to transmit anywhere - of course you should NOT transmit anywhere you are not licensed.? And although it is easy to set this so you can transmit in the CB bands, it technically is illegal to do so, since CB requires FCC type-accepted transmitters (and QMX does not do AM nor yet SSB, so you wouldn't be able to contact anyone).? Note also that the transmitter uses low-pass filters designed for the amateur bands, so transmitting outside those bands may also have performance issues, and may not be properly filtered for spurious emissions and harmonics.

People in Europe use 11m 27.245 JS8?
but you can use QDX, QMX and QMX+ to receive 11m JS8 in US and publish it to pskreporter
