Band chosen at start up

Hi all ...
My kit after have been assembled at the start up jumped directly to a VFO frequency ( showing A 28..... MHz ) without stop in the band option as said on the manual which is " 80 m band " . My kit has to be tuned for 20 m band .... what to do to choose the right band ?
Thanks!

I think the "reset" menu option will cause a "choose the band" to happen
on the next power up.

Otherwise just set on of the presets to a frequency in the desired band
and copy the preset to the VFO. Tedious but it does get you "on the
air".

I had to do this at one point while testing firmware for Hans.

Hi Carlos

I agree with what Peter said; additionally, this problem was resolved with the later firmware. But it is an inconvenience only. When you select the band, it defaults the VFO A, VFO B, Frequency presets, and calibration frequencies to your chosen band. Tuning these manually into the desired band has the same result.?

Manual section 4.25 "Other menu" Page 94 in manual Rev 1.05

Menu entry "7.8 Factory rst. Sure? enter 17"

The menu option 7.8 does not exist in the early (at least <90) units. The procedure I came up with was to hold down PTT during boot, it says reset... then OK and powers up, but this requires a trick to really clear to defaults. Power it up and hold the PTT, wait until you see the Reset message and unplug power before "OK" shows up. The next power up you can select band. You may need to time this correct.

Thanks Peter

You're right it is there .... I was blind at 1:30 am .... I'm gonna try !
Thanks
