How to get output to tracking page
#u4b
Hi Dave,
I am new to the U4B. I have created balloon flight: Gadgetman, and it is active. I am testing at my QTH at this point. I have followed all the pointers mentioned:-
Output my U4B tracker program:- 19:09:51? GPS START...
19:10:01? GPS: VLD:A LCK:1 CL:0 ALT:1617.0
19:10:01? BAT:4597 TXPWR:1 TEMP:294
19:10:01? TELE START...
19:19:51? TELE DONE
19:19:51? GPS START...
19:20:10? GPS: VLD:A LCK:1 CL:0 ALT:1776.7
19:20:10? BAT:4627 TXPWR:1 TEMP:294
19:20:10? TELE START...
19:29:51? TELE DONE

Stewart,
I only see the first packet in your log, where are your second packets? Locally you should see a second, 2-min transmission after the first one. It should be on the same frequency but the call sign will have data encoded in it. If you post that or decode it using Traquito?it may point to the issue. 73, BrianB N6CVO |

Hi Stewart?
It does appear that your telemetry is being transmitted on minute 8 Dave VE3KCL

Hi Stewart
It does appear that wsprnet thinks your call is in a M6 location? Perhaps because your wsjtx is showing an M6 go to settings in your wsjtx and change it to an M4 nearby like an M4 of KG32 and upload some spots ..this may fool wsprnet.... you can change it back anytime after the balloon is launched but for home testing this is what I had to do change FN03 to FN04 and upload some spots....? your tx grid is showing at KG33xu? and all M6 locators are rejected by the U4B program as the balloon does not transmit M6 locators and they are usually bad data. Hi Dave,
In wsjtx I am using a friend's call sign ZR6N and I have updated his grid locator KG43 to just 4 chars I find that if I use my call sign in wstjx, it does not report to WSPRNET. So now I think I am getting valid spots in the last few hours:- Yet still nothing seen on? My config:- My program:- PRINT "DEBUG U4B HELLO GADGETMAN"
10 LET HP = 1
20 PRINT "GPS START..."
? ?GPS 360
? ?PRINT "GPS: VLD:#GV LCK:#GL CL:#CL ALT:#AT"
? ?PRINT "BAT:#BT TXPWR:#HP TEMP:#TT"
IF GL = 1
? ? PRINT "TELE START..."
? ? TELE
? ? PRINT "TELE DONE"
? ? DELAY 100
? ? GOTO 20
ELSE
? ? DELAY 200
? ? GOTO 10
ENDIF

Hi Stewart?
Glad you have it working . Your basic looks like it should work fine ...mostly there to let you know on the terminal how the U4B is doing. You may consider joining the balloon group at?/g/picoballoon/topics They can usually answer pico balloon questions more readily 73 Dave VE3KCL |
