Entertaining shipment journey

I received an order from QRPLabs today via TNT. The last mentioned location (Botany) is perhaps a 300km drive from where I live and the TNT truck was in front of my home about 5hrs after that.

Just sharing because it amuses me to see where it went and because the package DID arrive.

That's quite a route for six days traveling! It'll need a holiday after that ?

DOH! Just hit my brain, European date format!

My packages (USA, Monroe Twp, NJ) will travel from the point of origin, to
Newark Airport (a large airport) then to a local distribution point near
me then Monroe Twp PA (~120 miles way) and then to another Monroe Twp, NJ
then finally to my home.

Yes it is unfortunate that NJ had many too engineers when naming our towns
Multiple Washington's, Monroe's, Franklin's and Cranbury's. Seems the Dutch
were pretty bad at it too. ;-)

Perhaps I should include my FN code in my address? ;-)

FYI

The packages don't always move on the 11th of the month... American date format is month/day/year. Rest of world day/month/year. It's why I try to remember to write the month as the first three letters of its name, rather than a number.

Hans,

?

Please don¡¯t use either format.

?

The format YYYY-MM-DD is much clearer.

?

Any other format is pure rubbish.

Daniel,

The format YYYY-MM-DD is best for date-tagging computer files, but
I've found that the format 12 NOV 2022 seems to be the most
comprehensible internationally.

Trouble is, everybody in every country thinks that their country is
the smartest in the world, and every other country is stupid. And
obviously this causes a problem with international commerce. The
answer is to be understood on the other side of the border....

I use YYYY-MMM-DD e.g.? 2022NOV12? I think IEEE had proposed it some time back.
