Where do I download instructions for the QRP Labs Z-Stick ?

I recently purchased the QRP Labs Z-Stick for impedance measurements.

Being a cheap ham I didn't want to pay $50 for a Nano VNA, so the $5 (plus shipping)
cost seemed a good purchase.

I've tried to use it but I can't seem to measure anything properly.

Are there any instructions that I can download ?

The impedance stick has the problem that it does not distinguish between capacitive and negative reactance.

I prefer to use scales to compare the capacitor/inductor with a known standard, as capacitance shows lower and inductance higher.

Have a good day.

Today's Poison d'Avril aren't a patch on the ones from 50 or so years back.? Who could forget the BBC's Smell-o-Vision adding smells to TV programs or the Panorama segment on the Swiss Spaghetti Trees or The Guardian's excellent article on the island of San Serife.

I did try measuring them with a device like yours John, but every capacitor or resistor seems to have a positive reading, so I guess they are all very inductive samples ;-)

I got confused trying to convert ounces to milliHenries...metric is so much easier!

Thanks for reminding me of that.

For some reason I thought that one was done on the Nationwide programme,
and I had visions of Frank Bough (suitably attired) snorting them now ;-)

visions of Frank Bough (suitably attired)

Just as well I was not drinking any coffee when I read that.

Had the same problem

The simple solution is to...

... first multiply (centimeters / second) by 2pi
then Z =? (60.129 US furlongs / fortnight) times Resistance
