I have put a 5.6pF miniature ceramic in series with the 1.5-5pF that I used for C9. This gives me a frequency swing of 405Hz between 3500.720KHz and 3501.125Khz which makes tuning to the desired frequency much smoother.

The 5.6pF was soldered under the PCB after cutting the track between C9 and the junction of L1 and C3.
