Hi and HNY to all.
Sadly I'm going to be a grumpy old S*d. Unlike many lucky people, I have an internet connection that speeds along at less than 250kbs, as do many other members who don't live in centers of "broadband excellence". A video attached to an email today has jammed my system for most of today, with dropped connection, timed out etc. it was a 25Meg file that I did'nt want, but had to download because it was there. If people want to jam my system, then fine. I'll spam them to the dark ages (ok, I'm Trumping). Please don't send huge attachments. It buggers a lot of peoples email communications. very happy new year to all, 73 Mike G8NXD ( whose broadband is slower than dial-up) |

So Mike, you might not have familiarized yourself with the function of (or the settings on Yahoo) and realize that there is a setting in for each group that allows you to not only tell the server what the maximum size limit (restriction) beyond which the server will not send the attachment, but you can even set it to zero so that it will never attach the attachments, such as large video files, and will simply include a link where you can download the video if you want it.... That was one of several settings I customized when Hans wisely switched us over to .? I'd encourage you to go familiarize yourself with the settings and customize them to your individual needs. 73, Grant KB7WSD On Mon, Jan 1, 2018 at 8:47 AM, Mike W <mike@...> wrote: Hi and HNY to all. |
