QLG1 Gps Receiver module

tacs All Messages By This Member #18288 开云体育 I am having problems with my GPS QLG1 module. When connected I have the red and yellow LED on solid. Never see the green. IC2 has 5vdc on pin 3 and no voltage on pin 1 & 2, also extremely hot. Should I assume a bad LM317LZ or could there be another problem? If it is a bad voltage regulator is the part available Thanks for any info, John? KF4HRY ?

John, A hot regulator with no output usually means that the output is shorted to ground. Check C24 is the correct way round. Check for solder across tracks. 73 Alan G4ZFQ
