wspr problem with qcx #wspr

 

Hello, I have a problem with my qcx 80. wspr worked great in January. Now that I try again it doesn't work anymore.But CW works witch around 5 watts.
I think the GPS also works great. It tracks 9 satelites and signal strength is 29.?
Time is set correctly by the gps module but as soon as wspr transmission starts the time is reset to zero and wspr starts waiting until next transmission period.
Who has an idea what the cause could be?

Possibly the current draw is exceeding your power supply, taking something out of regulation inside the qcx, and resetting the controller. My U3S did this before I turned down the backlight intensity.? now this is all wet if you are using a real big power supply!? antenna match could also be in the act, if it were getting into things.

Thank you for your suggestions. I had indeed just replaced my powersupply. now I use an adjustable Farnell powersuupply that can deliver up to 30 volts 1 amp. Should be enough anyway.
But I'm going to investigate this tonight. I will do a test with the powersupply that I used before and replace the antenna with a dummy load.

Thank you very much for your advice.
A test with a different powersupply and a dummyload went fine. After further trying it turned out that the settings for the antenna tuner are very critical. A small misadjustment is sufficient to
create the reset as described. So now that I know the cause, I can easily prevent the problem.
I Hope also to start in CW ?
But I still have to practice a little.
