QCX 3D printed case?

 

Hi all,

Had a QCX for a while now (30m) and got one of the cases from a DL source but was wondering is there any appetite for a 3D (ie GCODE/STL) version of a case. Not found one in the files section or on thingiverse but that doesn't mean a version isn't out there somewhere.

OK obviously would be metal so will be the usual disclosures about not RF airtight etc. But I know I ran mine without a case for a while.

Thinking about adding a battery holder to the base.

Hi Dom

There's at least one 3D printed design out there, and the files are on thingiverse, have a look in the QCX builders' gallery? for Dave G8XUL.?

Nice thing is he added an opening for the microswitch CW key that the metal case doesn't have.

You might check with Mike at the old dog (the second address) address in my header. ?(I don't know how to copy and paste addresses in my iPad) He makes a beautiful 3D case and will sell you one or may send you the files since you are across the big pond. I have one and it is neat. Hans knows him and brought one of those cases to FDIM.
