It¡¯s Summers-time!

It¡¯s May, 2025!
?
Time to take your Qrp-lab equipment outside and enjoy the coming summer, assuming you are in the northern hemisphere. If southern hemisphere, then get that last fling in before bad weather sets in.

Yes, it is!
Here's W7W/LC-058 from yesterday.

Wow!
What a fantastic view!
I was wondering where you were when we made the contact! ?:)
I¡¯m headed up a mountain on Memorial Day Weekend (USA).
We¡¯ll see who can hear me!!
Long live QRP!!

Looks like a QMX on the right. What is the rig on the left ? And, which antenna were you using?

On the left is a ZM-2 antenna tuner.
The antenna is a EFHW trimmed to be resonant at the CW end of 20m.
I used the tuner to keep the SWR at 1:1, especially at the SSB end of the band.
The transformer is just out of sight behind the rock but you can see the yellow string tying it to the rock.
If you look closely you can see the telescoping mast in the background.
And if you really zoom in, you can see the wire in the picture.

Thanks for the contact!
To my astonishment, you were my only CW contact of the day.
I called CQ for 1.5 hours and you were the only one who answered.
When I got back into cell range I saw that I had 67 spots on RBN all over Western US/Canada and as far East as Ontario.
And I just barely squeezed out one SSB contact bringing my QMX total to 2!
Bad luck, I guess.? But the view from the top made up for that disappointment.
And I was able to get 7 more contacts using a 2m HT.?
I hope to work you on Memorial Day weekend.
