Help with QMX, Linux and WSJTX/FT8

I have been using my QMX on FT8 with WSJTX with few problems until recently.? I use Linux Mint 22.1.? With the WSJTX beta 7/rcx everything worked great using TS-480 as rig, PulseAudio, alsa and Hamlob 4.6.1.? But after upgrading to wsjtx 2.7,? Hamlib 4.6.2 and the SSB beta firmware I cannot get FT8 to work.? I can get RX working fine TX is another story.? If I do get it to transmit it stops after a second or so.? I have tried TS-440S, TS-480 and QRPLabs QMX as radio and the QMX audio both with PipeWire and PulseAudio.? I currently have QMX beta 009 installed.? I have also tried going back to production firmware 27 with no luck.

Help!

The problem is in wsjt-x 2.7. Just use v2.6.1. Or update the hamlib.?

Hamlib is updated to the latest.

So, no help.? I enjoyed using the QMX on FT8 and would like to continue but seems everyone here is focused on SSB.

Bill, please check your wsjt-x radio config and make sure Mode control is set to none, not USB.? (USB is default, and was ignored by prior versions of firmware, but not now).? And make sure to manually set your QMX to digi mode.

Hmmm.
Less than 8hrs after your original post, on a workday.?
When you ask for free help from volunteers in this forum,? please have patience.? This type of comment is not appreciated.?

Hi Stan,
?
Thanks it was on data/packet and now is none but no change.? RX works great but TX just for a second sometimes full power, sometimes low power and sometimes no power.? I am currently running beta firmware 1-01-009 but have same results with production 27.? Here are screenshots of my WSJTX and pipewire settings:

Keep your volume at 100%, not 150%. Going over 100% doesn't transmit anything that anyone can decipher. Other than that, no idea. Good luck.

It was the 150% volume, I have no idea how it got set to that but once I reduced that setting to just under 100% all is good.

Duh.
