QDX - I/Q mode and SSB firmware
hey group
?
first of all: I am eagerly watching my ordered QDX running up the waitlist, so I have no device in hands right now.
still I thought I get perpared and read the docs and some topics here. and there came up some questions:
?
*) when setting the QDX into I/Q mode, I would use my sdr-software to decode/demodulate.
??? How wide is the spectrum I would get? ? the documentation does NOT exclude the sending option. so could I transmit providing I/Q to the soundcard?
*) will there be a new firmware with SSB transmit option?

Hello Peter ?
Sampling is at 48ksps ?
Not right now. In future it could be a functionality enhancement.? ?
Yes, I'm working on it.? 73 Hans G0UPL |
Hi Alan ? >? ? ?*) will there be a new firmware with SSB transmit option? Thank you very much, yes, well-spotted. I am confusing myself (and others). My apologies. QDX doesn't (and won't) support both I Q mode transmit, and SSB. That applies to QMX.? 73 Hans G0UPL |
Thank you all for the provided information! the little baby is awaited here and has its place already prepared ;) 73 peter -- Disclaimer: May be opened and read by the NSA, CIA, GCHQ, KGB, BND, and whoever else it may NOT concern. I'm interested in purchasing QMX+ kit. Is there any ready made software, that is recommended to (try to) listen to SSB transmissions using built in sound card?
So I'm getting clean base band with around 24kHz bandwidth using the soundcard right? Or is there any problem that I would encounter while trying to demodulate voice SSB transmissions there?

I'm not sure what else retains this older soundcard SDR feature. You get a maximum of 48KHz span. Any mode with a requirement of less than 48KHz bandwidth may be used. 73 Alan G4ZFQ |
