Menu button #QMXplus

Hi, does anyone know the name of the two push buttons on the QMX+?
The one on my "Menu" lives its own life, i.e. it single and double press (random) when I try to enter the Menu

It could be a bad (solder)contact, or a bad switch.

It's the switch, it doesn't make the same clicking sound as the other switch
?

If I understand the diagram correctly, it looks like legs 3/4 are connected together and when you press the switch it closes legs 1/2 ??

Is that correct with a switch marked Circuit ??

??? = ? ? ?

Yes, pin 1 and 2 are connected and 3 and 4 are connected. When you press the switch then all four pins are connected to each other.

Just a quick thought ...

Any chance the knob is down too far on the shaft and not allowing full depression? (This is assuming that you have the unit in the enclosure? I ran into the same issue in my first QMX build. Total operator error. )

To be sure i removed the knob and it's more wobbly than the other.
Maybe I've been pressing too much in menus :-) but it looks like it should be "easy" to replace

Hope it works out for you.

Might help to include a couple spacers with each kit
with instructions to stuff them into each knob before mounting to the encoder shaft.
Perhaps a metal or nylon hex nut would do.

I just stuck a thin coffee stick between the knob and the case and secured the knob.?
Adjust as needed.?
Do pull out the coffee stick when you are satisfied with the clearance. :)?
