QCX+ vs QCX mini

 

The QCX plus is in a larger cabinet, but is there any difference other than that between the two units.....features or specs??

I've had both and I didn't see any difference spec wise. Each is described in detail on QRP labs site.

Same circuit. ?The bigger cabinet let me build a loudspeaker, GPS (switchable) etc all in one box?
 

QCX+ has mostly through hole parts installed by the builder and the Mini has mostly pre-soldered SMD parts. If you really enjoy the building experience the QCX+ certainly gives you more of that experience. Both are identical electrically and they both use the same firmware. You will enjoy whichever one you choose.?

Mods and experimentation are certainly easier in the QCX+. The mini is my favorite for packing out to the woods.
They are both fun to build and operate.

Hi,
As an extra, QCX+ has an on/off switch, Dev Board add kit, more space inside the case (battery, speaker, GPS vs)
and easier to built as a kit.
