I activated #pota us-10658 with the #QMX mid-band I built this morning (5 watts). It was pretty windy so I didn't record any video since I forgot my wind sock. I started with 30 meters and moved through 40, 20, 60, 17 and 15. I got QSOs on all but one band (60). ?I got one or two ?on 30, 40 and 17, most were on 20 and 15. I managed a DX QSO with #sweden SM3NRY on 15 meters (21.062). The wind started getting so bad that my Chameleon #vertical was bowing. I got a total of 34 QSOs before I went QRT.

As for me.. I took my QMX out camping this past weekend for its maiden voyage!

I was way up in the mountains of Idaho USA and I made 10 contacts! ?Blew my mind that people could hear me while using only 5watts. ?A guy in Arizona gave me a 599 (I hope he wasn’t pulling my leg). I talked to a guy in Canada and a few on the east coast (PA, CT and NC).
This QRP thing is going to actually work!
