I'd like to see the option of lower SWR protection thresholds in the QMX - 1.5:1 would be my preference. (maybe optional 1.25:1, 1.75:1 as well?) Trying to keep my radio happy, I run 9-Volts into a 12-Volt build and generally use resonant antennas, shooting for a VSWR well under 1.25:1.

If it's an issue of maximum number of menu options, I'd suggest perhaps deleting several on the high end - they go up to 9:1 right now.

Reflected power at 1.25:1 VSWR: 1.23%

Everything is a compromise in engineering and everything extracts a price. I rarely bother if my antenna is below 2:1 for all sorts of reasons, such as tuning range over several bands, height above ground etc.

It's set in the 'protection' menu isn't it?? refer to the operating manual page 43 (v1.018)

Yes, I'm aware of the location of the SWR Protection setting - "SWR threashold" menu item. I'm asking for lower thresholds than 2:1.
