60m Band tuning is broken, or not?

开云体育

hi,

Version *23

when i tune in the 60m band it is only switching between fixed Frequencies :?

Factoryreset did'nt change anything and changing the tuningpoint 1MHz/500kHz/100Khz doesn't change anything too.

All other bands works fine.

Whats wrong?

Ty it helped.

I can see why it might be defaulting to the channelized scheme; In the US we are not allowed to VFO across that band and must stick to channelization since we are secondary users on what is primarily a government allocation for us.
?
There have been a couple of attempts for US hams to petition to change for more channels and/or VFO operations but that but it is complicated because amateur radio in the US is regulated by the FCC but government operations is regulated by NTIA (National Telecommunications Information Administration) and the two agencies do not play well with each other.
?
Much of the rest of the world has a much more 'relaxed' view of the 60 meter band.

@aa4ha Thanks for explanation.

If I understand the FCC's NPRM, NTIA wants hams on the 5351.5 - 5366.5 kHz non-channelized portion of the band. But NTIA also wants to kick U.S. hams off the 60M channels, and mandate lower power...

Au Canada, we got access to the 5351.5 - 5366.5 kHz band, kept our 4 channelized frequencies, and get to use 100W. I plan on having some sort of antenna for 60m this winter...
