Hey all, got my assembled QMX this week and have been attempting to get going with digi modes.? The manual indicates it should just work with windows, but I'm getting a "USB device not recognized" upon plugging it in, and the device manager shows Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed).? I have tried several different cables including ones that work to transfer files from my Pixel phone.? I've tried different USB ports, and turning both the PC and the radio on and off again.? I can buy a new cable (any recommendations?) if that is the most likely issue, but since it'll take about a week and a half to get it, are there other things I should try first???

Have you tried connecting with a different computer? ?I have had issues with Windows laptop recognizing USB devices.

How are you plugging it in? The correct process is plug in then turn on. If you plug it in already turned on it will often not be recognised.?

Is it powered up and turned on when you plug in the USB? The QMX is not powered from the USB at all...

For what it's worth, my QMX doesn't want to work with my MacBook, but works totally fine with my Linux machine. I haven't investigated why that is yet.

Hmm, well, that is working today... I'm confused because I'm 99.99999% sure I tried turning it off and back on again several times last night with no luck, but the first try today worked.? I also tried turning it on first and then connecting it today and sure enough, same error.? Turning it off and back on again immediately recognized the device correctly today.??

Super confused... but happy to be moving forward.? Thank you!
