Pardon me if this has been asked before. Regarding the?"20/80m BPF TXswap". Am I correct in assuming that this is in reality is a BPF 1 and BPF 3 swap without regard to which band or slot in the band configuration menu?
Here is the reason for my question… I am thinking of eliminating 60m from my next QMX low build band configuration (I’m not interested in it); then shift the band configuration over for 40, 30 and 20 ; ?add 17 and leave one more slot open for the possibility of adding 15. ?15 might not work out, but it’s worth trying. Either way I would ?end up with a BPF 1 that would be no longer just for 20m, it would have to be modified to at least cover 17.?
Were the conditions that required the 80/20 BPF swap characterized sufficiently to reasonably expect that a BPF 1 modified for 20 and 17 would still provide acceptable protection during 80m transmit? Maybe someone has already tried this?
In advance, thanks for your replies.
