CAT script for setting the real-time clock
开云体育Hi there! Hans has already indicated that the real-time clock in the QMX could be set using a CAT command script, has anyone succeeded in doing so? I just checked a CAT command reference for the TS-480 but didn't find any suitable command there ... 73, Mike |
Hi Mike QMX CAT is based on TS-480 but isn't exactly the same. The commands QMX understands are listed in the operating manual. As yet there isn't a way to set the real time clock, I'll add it. 73 Hans G0UPL On Sat, Dec 9, 2023, 6:57?PM DL6MAF <michael.fuchs@...> wrote:

With the QCX+ the real time clock could be set manually in the beacon menu. With the QMX it can only be done using a GPS module or through a CAT command? I guess there will be a good reason why the option of setting the clock manually through the beacon menu has disappeared, but I do regret this. I don't know (yet) how the CAT method works and using the GPS may result in having to wait several minutes before the GPS signal has properly synchronised and implemented the GPS leap seconds. Therefore, I would love to have the manual time set back...

It just isn't done yet. No good reason as such... And there isn't yet a CAT command for it either.? 73 Hans G0UPL On Sat, Dec 16, 2023, 6:10?PM <ha7rja@...> wrote: With the QCX+ the real time clock could be set manually in the beacon menu.
