QDX and FSQ?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWayne,There is a group that does FSQ this evening on 7105 center freq. usually starting when ever the 30M Feld Hell Club net is over, normally around 8 pm Central time. Most of the activity is in the North East USA. I've tried from Texas and sometimes can get in and sometimes not with 30 watts. I've tried QRP and no one has heard me so if you're more NE give it a try. It may work for you. The FSQ mode works fine in fldigi. 73, Cliff, AE5ZA

I am aware of two FSQ nets that are conducted out of TX and OK that you may be able to reach. They are a regional group affiliated with AmRRON, but I believe all licensed amateurs are invited to participate. My understanding is the nets are held on Sunday and Monday evenings at 0100Z on 3.588 MHz at an offset of 1500 Hz on the waterfall. This is a link to a PDF document that dates from 2018 so it may have been replaced with a newer version. Best of luck. If you are successful in making contact via your QDX I would love to hear your results. Feel free to contact me directly if you don't want to send to the mailing list. 73 de AE4ON On Wed, Sep 20, 2023, 6:48 AM Wayne Greene <wayne.greene489@...> wrote: Hey, all. Has anyone tried running FSQ with the QDX, yet? I'm thinking of experimenting with it this weekend. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a lot of FSQ activity out there. |

I'm gonna try to get into tonight's net and see what happens. FSQ looks to be a fascinating technique. |
Those interested in FSQ can check out FSQcall.org. A station in Ohio operates close to 24x7 with a light BBS-like (or microblog-like) functionality, experimentally. Also see this note/update on Wednesday night activity.? ?KD8WCK station recent activity notesActivity notes:16-Sep-23 The Wednesday night net was a blast, with I think 8 stations participating. I posted a note and Pskreporter.info map to the FSQcall groups.io list. Please join us Wednesday evenings around 9 or 9:30pm Eastern time on 7105 waterfall frequency for an informal net and experimentation with FSQ features and remote commands. ?

Wayne, I did get a Linux PC running FLDIGI for FSQ.? Got the Phaser retuned?to 7105 ok.? Antenna is good for 40M. I'm seeing some stuff in the 1500Hz?range but not decoding yet.? I'm sure I have to set something else up.? Not sure if I will just get decodes with out of the box setup? I will keep working on it and when it looks like working we can try it.? Probably not tonight. TNX! looking forward to it.?? Bob WA1EDJ On Wed, Sep 20, 2023 at 5:51?PM Wayne Greene <wayne.greene489@...> wrote: Btw, I'm setup with an NVIS on 40 meters.? |
