100 watt CW amp

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has tinkered with idea of ?combining 2 of the 50watt qcx amps using RF combiners

Thx

That would be the really hard way to go.? Little things like the
TR switching is not adequate for 100W without modification.
?
When amps are combined that is done at the core amp module
level? then switching and filters are after that.? ?
?
IF you want 100W at 12V rethink it.? ?Doing 100W at 24V is easier
using 2x2 irf510s push pull...? that would be a larger project.

Beat me to it. Better off building one from the ground up.

Sorry, I missed your replies.
So, yes...
?
1. I did mean using combiners before the final T/R and the filters.
2. Not restricted to 12V either, it can be much higher as well. 20-50 volts?
?
I did this at low powers in the GHz range using minicircuits modules, mostly around 30dbm levels. That was long back in the early 2000s :-) never after that, and not even close to the 50dbm levels.
?
Another thought is that the linear that Hans offers goes up to 20W at 20+Volts of power supply, maybe those can be combined to get ~40Watts?
?
Thoughts, ideas, concerns?
