QMX power on issue

I am helping a friend troubleshoot a QMX wired for 12 volts.? The rig will not power up unless the USB c cable is attached.? Remove the USB cable and the rig will not power up.? Thinking about reflowing the pins for the USB connector but does anyone have a better suggestion?

Sounds like it's missing the ground connection on the 12V. Check the socket soldering and continuity with the board.

It was a grounding issue on the RF connector. Another chance to look at the manual and pay attention to Hans boxes on properly soldering the ground connections.

Come on Bruce, get it right.? LOL..? I took a jumper from the RF connector shell and touched the ground connection on the power connector and it fired up.? I normally fill the holes up on the power connector but did not do it this time.? I filled up all 3 holes and all is well.
