QMX power on issue

Bruce KS4V All Messages By This Member #108130 I am helping a friend troubleshoot a QMX wired for 12 volts.? The rig will not power up unless the USB c cable is attached.? Remove the USB cable and the rig will not power up.? Thinking about reflowing the pins for the USB connector but does anyone have a better suggestion?

Bruce KS4V All Messages By This Member #108194 It was a grounding issue on the RF connector. Another chance to look at the manual and pay attention to Hans boxes on properly soldering the ground connections.
Ed Pflueger-AB4IQ #108270 Come on Bruce, get it right.? LOL..? I took a jumper from the RF connector shell and touched the ground connection on the power connector and it fired up.? I normally fill the holes up on the power connector but did not do it this time.? I filled up all 3 holes and all is well.
