#QMX #troubleshooting #qmx #troubleshooting

Hi all

?

I have started writing a troubleshooting guide for QMX; at the moment it includes
  • general advice
  • Some common faults
  • A lot of the QMX units I repaired here at QRP Labs' Towers
I will add more information to this as we go along; but for now I think there is useful information that can probably help some people; so please consider this page an ongoing?work-in-progress,?

Hans, the section about USB-C currently says to use 1.5k resistors, this should be 5.1k though.

Guide looks good overall though! Bet this will be a big help for folks.

Hi Andrew

Hans, the section about USB-C currently says to use 1.5k resistors, this should be 5.1k though.

Thanks, I have corrected it now, it says 5.1K now. I was confusing myself, with the "other" USB resistors, which applied to the old USB stuff... on Full Speed USB you put a 1.5K pull-up resistor on one of the data lines! Which is confusing as hell because sometimes the CPU has a built-in 1.5K pull-up resistor in its USB peripheral and sometimes it doesn't. For anyone who thought all this USB confusion was a NEW thing hi hi.??
