#qmx Diode installation help needed #qmx

 

I'm trying to determine the diode orientation for the #QMX. I can see 2 tiny white marks between the holes. The appear to form a < or >.? Does the white stripe side of the diode go towards the closed or side or the open side of the white lines?

Rob,

Look at page 24 of the assembly manual. It tells you how and shows a picture of how they go.

The instructions say "The white stripe end must be aligned with the white stripe on the image of the PCB silkscreen" .? There are two white stripes that form a > or <.? The photo is over directly overhead and you can't see the where the stripe is.? That's why I'm asking the group.? I've read the page and studied the photo before bothering others with my question.?

So, if you have built a QMX how did you align your diodes??

The page shows the orientation where Hans has pictured the diodes. The board is very hard to read for sure. I just go by the manual picture and it works.

Those two lines form the arrow head in the diode symbol. Think like, arrow head points toward the white line...so the white line lead goes in the thru-hole the white lines point.
