Re: Lazy Tuning add-on for my QCX Transceiver
Ronan-- Thank you for the cool tip on the case.? I was about to delve into butchering a 200mm by 300mm double-clad board and do all the fiddly soldering to get non-88* joints, when I remembered that

Re: U3S transmitting through the case
Why do I say this, good question... a) I have a switch on the U3S output, switching this on and off has no effect at all on the strong signal I hear on the receiver. None at all. b) Disconnecting the

Re: U3S transmitting through the case
Chris, Why do you say that? No reading on a power meter? What voltages on the BS170? Local RX does not need an antenna, a strong signal will be heard just from leakage from the Si5351 even with a dead

U3S transmitting through the case
An odd one this, but I have been at this for weeks. The U3S appears to be transmitting through the shield of the Coax, not at all through the central conductor.?? I have buzzed everything out. No

Re: Look what showed up from Germany!
I just have to comment. These cases are very well made, and the accessories included make the QCX very enjoyable to use. Just got my second case yesterday for my (yet to be built) 40M QCX. Andrew

Re: qrp labs QRSS Transmitter
Gary, This sound like the original QRSS transmitters, not the U3, U3S or QCX. Sorry, but I haven't looked at the schematic and have been doing QRSS with a U3S for the past year or two.? Forgive me if

Re: Lazy Tuning add-on for my QCX Transceiver
Hello Ronan :-) Trust your 2019 has been as planned so far. Wondering if you are yet able to provide further details and code (ATiny 85) of your QCX tuning aid? Looking forward to hearing from you

Re: Multi band QCX plus Party time...
My personal, *un*-definitive view is Multi banding a QCX is an interesting challenge. (Making something do things it was never designed or lends it's self to easily to do.) There is no single recipe

qrp labs QRSS Transmitter
Can anyone advise? I built this little kit a few years back & it worked well. Then suddenly started sending a dead signal. I dont know why & never got around to it at the time due to kidney failure.

Re: Look what showed up from Germany!
How funny! I also received my case from Germany today. I already have one for the 80M QCX, so now I will build the 40M version. Andrew K6STN Sent: Wednesday, April 17, 2019 10:50 AM To:

Re: Multi band QCX plus Party time...
It takes very little power to spin a fan fast enough. Here i have picked off some RF into the load and rectified it (photos 2 and 3. ) The toroid turns do affect the impedance a bit above 30 mHz, but
