Re: QDX New build zero RF output #qdx
On my QDX with zero RF after initial build, I found C2 had been knocked off.? The RF output goes thru C2 to the BNC center pin.

Re: WSPR spots #wspr #u3s
My experience is with different stations I have experimented with over a fairly long period of time. Specifically, these callsigns (at different times): KB8RCO??????? Personal Call: on the air

Microwave substrates are available with 8- or 10-mil dielectric thickness with 1/2- and maybe 1/4-oz copper, but it will cost you.? However with small patterns a single 12 x 18 or 9 x 12 sheet will

Ron, I tried KK6PR, bad choice! 1000 spots, all bands between 14.36 to 15.08 Looking at all bands simultaneously. Not a WSJT-X user but a wsprdaemon user with, it seems, multiple 8-channel Kiwi

Re: GPS utility running (also) as a service for QLG-2
Giuseppe, Any GPS time setting program that only uses NMEA should be well within a second. Use the fastest baud rate the program will allow, with a modern GPS there will be little delay. I have not

Re: WSPR spots #wspr #u3s
They ( KK6PR and others ) are probably using the band hopping feature of wsjt.? They won't be listening for your time slot again for up to another hour.

Re: GPS utility running (also) as a service for QLG-2
Thanks Alan, given I would like to use a "standard" laptop, a hardware serial port is out of question. Now, wondering if when portable(no internet) could the QLG-2 provide sub second accuracy for FT8

Re: #QDX Hamlib Error #qdx
Hi all Please note, the cheesy washer is not the heatsink, contrary to popular belief. The PCB is. The cheesy washer is only intended to push the flats of the BS170 against the PCB. The PCB is the

Re: QDX New build zero RF output #qdx
Hi Mike, A quick thought would be to verify that the transmitter is enabled in the Band Configuration screen.? I have noted that there can be corruption in the config file after an output failure.?

JLCPCB can do 0.6 mm thick boards with 1 0z copper. 0.4 mm thick boards get really expensive. 72/73, Jim, K8IQY

Re: #QDX Hamlib Error #qdx
Greg, I'm glad you have got your QDX kinda/sorta functioning again. There are various BS-170 PA Cooling suggestions (search) on here - I just add a small heatsink (that also uses the top case/cover)

Re: GPS utility running (also) as a service for QLG-2
Giuseppe, No the QLC-2 does not send a PPS on USB. The only way to use a PPS from a QLG-2 is on a serial port. It can be possible to use a USB serial port but accuracy will be impaired. For ultimate

Hi Jim, the USB connector comes on the upper side of the PCB. Otherwise the DC +5V/GND pins would be wrong. Check the conductivity (Ohms) around the USB connector with USB cable unpluged. 73 Bojan
