I have not tried this yet, but it may be possible to feed audio from the other transceiver to the node *C40/R51/R52* (see schematic) Use antoher 100 nF cap in series, since this node is at 2.5V DC !

One more solution is the one created by comunity for usdx clones. Tune the frq Up with vfo, if you doble press after, band changes Up. Tune the frq Down if you double press band changes Down.
