Re: Magic Smoke Blues - Song
I think we've all had the Magic Smoke Blues at some point or another. I downloaded it as an MP4 file. Saved for posterity, lol Thanks for sharing 72 Mark

Hello Nick, Bill here N3GTY On the RPi5 I was not able to get CAT working also kept getting HamLib errors. Until I changed PTT to VOX on both the QDX and WSJT-X Software. This problem also existed on

Re: microphone wiring.
Howard, this microphone won't work. You need the standard 2-terminal element. The + side of that element goes to the Ring (Mic). The - side of it goes to Sleeve (Gnd). A push button PTT switch

Yes. ?You need a QRPLABS encrypted boot loader programmed on the CPUs. ?I have some on hand for the repairs that I do. ?Ask Hans if he has one he would sell to you. when soldering in a new chip, I

Re: QDX and the raspberry pi 5 running bookworm
Update I reverted to a Rpi 4 and with that the CAT Test turns Green unlike the RPI 5 Pressing Tune on WSJT-x produces a signal using the RPi 4 but not on the RPi 5 Has anyone managed to get the RPi 5

Re: RWTST | WTST | Conventional wound - effects
Muhsin et al, Aside from the resonance issue on the standard wound Bn43-202, the tighter coupling and symmetrical winding also will improve the balance and thus 2nd harmonic. It works ok down to 160m

Thanks for your input, George and Mike. George, being easier to build is definitely a big advantage of the QMX+. Mike, very good point about the extra space in the larger enclosure. I guess as more

Re: Multiple instances in Windows 11
Yes, sorry George, I misunderstood the issue you have. I was using two instances for the WSJT-X, one for the QDX high and the other one for the QMX (+). It is obviously not your case. -- 73 Bojan

Re: RWTST | WTST | Conventional wound - effects
Hi Karl Also BN43-202 had some bad resonant areas with the old winding. switching to BN61-202 and RWTST improved all my QDXs and QMXs on all bands (you might need BN43-202 on 160 meters and lower?) 73

Slightly different story here. VDD is showing 20¦¸ to ground without the PS boards installed. I decided to apply about 2.5 V to the VDD pin to which PS Board #2 attaches. Current consumption was 250
