Re: QDX receive currant
Richard, As Milos says, what version? I do not remember any case of high current and working properly. Is your reading accurate? Are the 5 and 3.3 volt regulators correct voltage, are either hot? 73

Re: QDX receive currant
Hi Richard, The RX current depends on version (Rev). I have built two QDXs. The classic LB Rev3 and the RX current is about 140-145 mA and the HB Rev4 and it takes more: about 165 mA. You should

Peter, If you change all 4 you can check them afterwards to see if any are still good - although at the price, its hardly worth it! ---------------------------------------- Here is a link to the PSU

Arrghhh.... in my attempt to re-do the SMA connector I've managed to trash the board. I was looking at it and thought it was pretty close to the ground plane under it, even though I had put some paper

Re: QDX receive currant
Richard, Normal receive current is about 150ma, so 200 seems to me to be a problem. Where to look for the cause, others will have to say. 73, Cliff, AE5ZA

QDX receive currant
Hi I have a QDX which i managed to blow up the output FETs, after replacement? I found the receive currant is too high at 200mA I've removed power from the FETs and also removed the driver chip IC5

Re: QCX+ 20m Receiver sensitivity way down #20m #problem #troubleshoot
Hello again Bryan If your QCX + has been working for a year that it's unlikely to be a "loose connection". It would be relatively easy to remove Q5 then: 1. Test to see the voltage at the gate

Hi, is there a resource which explains these mods? The reason for them? Thanks. Nick.

Re: Corrosion on IC pins (QCX+ build)
Pekka, I think Andy is probably right. But why not use an IC socket (shhh!, don't tell Hans) for this IC. If it's bad or it fails later, it will be easy to replace. -- 73, Dan? NM3A

Re: QLG2 Gone Wonky
Jim, IC2 is the 3.3v regulator. It's located right of the jumpers between C2 and C3. The schematic will tell you where you can test for the 3.3v. Can you post a pic of the antenna jack on the board.

Bojan - Yes, I have tried several different USB power sources. I have tried several different antenna locations. I disconnected the antenna and measured the voltage between ground and center pin: 2.2

Hi, before tossing it... - have you done a +5V power cycle? - have you changed the GPS antenna position? - does the 3.3V regulator works? - does it outputs the +3V supply on a SMA connector for the

Re: QDXM 10 mtr. oddity
Dave, the slow blink on transmit is a characteristic of the latest firmware. The frequency display shows that you have your default frequency on the QDX set for 27.245, and WSJT-X will change it
