Hans and Don, I totally understand what you are saying, but what I said is actually on the same point. The discrepancy between the RMS power and "power" converted from the peak voltage is of the same origin as mean(RMS)-to-peak(instantaneous) power ratio issue. While not accounting for this effect makes any experimental report less credible (I have no disagreement with you on that), I have merely pointed out that the influence on the output power from the load impedance presented to the final transistors is more direct and reasonably weak odd order harmonics do not change the peak voltage or instantaneous power significantly to throw out that direct influence. Either way, measuring the output power of an class inverse D/F amp without an LPF does not reflect the true performance.
