Sometimes Windows requires you to turn power off on the rig then plug in the USB cable to the computer. Then power up the rig and it will find it. I've seen that almost every time with the QMX. QDX only sometimes so I'm not sure why they act differently,

Ok, then look if this is windows look in the device manager then ports and see if port is found and see what port device manager assigned it. Then go to putty and make sure the port in putty matches the one in device detected in ports section of device manager. If you do not see a port detected for the progrock try either another usb port on computer if available and/or another usb cable. I noticed reading on the progrock 2 Hans states no need to get a driver for win10 or 11 already there. Only if an earlier version of windows then need a driver. And if this is something else other than windows then I do not have knowledge on other OS.
