I like the idea of a Zoom meeting and we can still use our radios for those not able to Zoom. SInce we have some members out of town and out of repeater range this gives them the chance to see and hear from others who are here and for us to see and hear from them. One person could just set their Zoom mike on to hear the repeater and carry that audio over to Zoom or from Zoom to over the repeater. I think this will become the new normal for club meetings in general, not just QCWA, as we go forward. We really can't have safe physical meetings in some areas, including where Chapter 111 is located, and that will probably last for some time to come. But beyond that we can have people from elsewhere join us for participation at the least. And we can arrange presentations over Zoom much easier and more reliably than over Skype and most other methods. The LARA group just had a great presentation from a member of the Northern Illinois DX Association on seeing and using the MUF specs on clouds that permit E Skip and Tropo Ducting. A very complicated topic when done real time but extremely easy to see and understand when shown on Zoom. I learned more about some things I already knew a little and learned some new things I had not explored. Best hour of my time for many months.? So I would like to see our Chapter getting some use out of Zoom and get a feel for what kind of shorter presentations (20-30 minutes) members would like to have at their monthly meeting. That way we could have our check-ins and also a short program of interest to members. Since it is easy for the Host of the Zoom meeting to Record the meeting, it could be easily edited to just have the presentation and that could be shared with other Chapters for a long time to come. And we can get presentations from others to share at our meetings. 73, Tom AJ4XM
