I decided to list the upcoming events we will be supporting at our QCECG web page.? Unless we get asked to support a new event, our next event will be in October of 2022.

Take a look:?

I also announce our event, and request for volunteers, at:

ARRL Recommended Movie - "Night"

This was interesting! Read the article and watch the 34 minute movie. ARRL's Public Relations guy was a consultant for the ham radio segments. I wish they had a better consultant regarding the handling of firearms, though.

Synopsis: The story begins on a day when the sun mysteriously has failed to rise. One character mentions firing up grandpa¡¯s ham radio. His younger brother reminds him that he once called ham radio ¡°the dinosaur¡¯s internet,¡± but now it could be one source of help or information. The actual internet is down, along with power, telephones, and apparently satellites. All the adults are conveniently absent. The ending will leave you hoping for NIGHT 2. The movie premiered recently and is now available on YouTube as a 34-minute short.

EchoLink Node is Offline - N2QOJ-R

Our EL node with the Ocotillo (STV) repeater is offline.

I am in the process of moving. It turns out my broadband supplier shut off my service at my old house (where the EchoLink node is still located) a bit earlier than planned. For that reason, the node became operational.

I hope to have it up and running at my new location before Sunday. I'll let you know the status before the net.
