It takes a little to get the hang of it, but its a good source;

Select:? "Patrimoine québécois" ? ? ? ? in the upper right

Select:? "Texte intégral"???? "Oui"? ? ? ?? if you want exact search

And there are other filters there also.

Good luck,??? Brian

Thankyou to Brian and legoo98 for your suggestions. Both sites well worth bookmarking.
So far no luck with the years wanted.

Thanks again

Just to let you know, I found the Sherbrooke Daily Record on BGSU University Libraries.

Hi Pam......
When you found the Sherbrooke Record was it on the actual BGSU web site or was there a link to another site.? I found a list of Canadian Newspapers on the BGSU? site but it did not include the Sherbrooke Record.? My ancestors and relatives lived in the Sherbrooke area and would love to have access to the record.

Hi Susan
The website is
I went to Historical Canadian newspapers online, Quebec then scrolled down to Sherbrooke.
Luckily I found the year and one of the newspapers I wanted, but there are gaps.
