[GRP] Testing a new group for general info about the Group
I would like to implement a scheme of standard groups to help keep messages organized. This is built in to 开云体育 with an algorithm that decides where to put your message if it relates to an earlier one.
More about this later.

This is not described nor mentioned in the Manual 2.2:

Set the mode to WFM
?
Press [MENU] and navigate to the yellow [RADIO] spot at R4/C3.
Audio level displayed by small speaker and controlled by up and down keys. However, each change requires toggling frequency as described below to get good quality.

Press key
FM dial appears with 5 numbers below for memory locations.

Use < or > to tune to known FM station. Sometimes one must toggle off frequency and back to get on frequency correctly.

To use 5 memory locations marked at bottom of screen:
Press [SPLI}
Press 1 thru 5 to select.

Tune to F1 with < and > keys

How does one set the 5 frequencies?

Sound quality is excellent and volume range is OK for quiet room.

To leave FM radio, press [MENU] to return to MENU display.
Press [MENU] again to return to frequency display.

I have it here, I think I've? just attached it properly. Naming is same as others, but? pretty? sure this? is the one I put on the USB stick and it updated properly, back to 3.2.1

Thanks, Cory. I? looked yesterday? but don't have? a tiny? enough tweezers to open the ribbon cables! I will get some and try re-seating them later.
By the way, I? ran across this some time ago but? it got lost in the shuffle, and maybe someone else has? posted this video from a knowledgeable Russian, but may not have noticed? that you can translate into English:
Subtitles are in Russian, but you can set the gearwheel options to auto-translate into English subtitles.

I believe the version is 3.3.2 ? download it 2-3 days ago on the TBR and have done some testing.?
The big win was the channels bug being fixed. I added 5 new channels as a test and all channels and frequencies remain correctly as entered.?
The NFM mode being under modulated remains, as does the very low wattage output on 2M and 70cm bands.?

I had a major reorganization here just when I discovered the impending updates and held off. I've been lurking there. Now I hope to get this place helpful to all owners.

Audio Out for beautiful sound
I? hate the scratchy speaker on this radio but the audio out from the speaker jack seemed to be very low, having to turn it all the way? up in the audio settings to get anything amplifiable. Then tonight I? noticed that the headphone audio was perfectly fine if I unplugged the microphone that came with the radio! What? So then I was about to open up the microphone and disconnect the speaker in it, (it's a speaker-mic), when I noticed a tiny hole next to the wire going in! A headphone jack!
So I plugged my little Anker blue-tooth wired speaker plug into that and Wahoo! Beautiful full-quality sound! So the speaker-mic was taking all the audio from the headphone output, and I'll probably disconnect the wire inside but for now I can listen to this little wonder like it had a large sound-system hooked up to it!
After years of listening to SSB on older radios, it is a pleasure to hear SSB on these new radios, as you can set the bass in the audio settings to your taste. Many people have a pleasant bass component to their voice when in conversational mode on local 40-80 meter nets, so this is a big plus.
That, plus the DSP settings and the radio begins to sound like the people are in the room with you!

Really? Just a speaker wire? I haven't managed to match my G90 with antenna tuning but it certainly does have a working antenna tuner!

To clarify I had a bnc to binding post adapter, and equal lengths of speaker wire attached to both hot and ground. ?So essentially a dipole.

Yes, that was the mystery in the first place. The microphone that comes with the radio is a speaker mic and so there is audio going to the speaker in it.? It takes the audio from the earphone plug, bypassing that!? So anything you can hear from that plug is so tiny that it's not worth listening to. And the audio in the speaker-mic is so low as well, it's useless in any kind of noisy space.
Why this is not explained in the manual or elsewhere, I don't know. I even? opened up the radio twice? trying to find out what was wrong, but accidentally left the mic off once, and bang! Full audio from the earphone plug, suitable for amplification into a full room-sound quality result!

A new V4 Q900 is being released. ?It adds single antenna tx/rx on V/U via the sma connector, and hf/6m through the other connector. ?Also higher audio out for headphones and the 70 MHz band. ?
Also DMR fixed.
If anyone buys this and tests the functionality it would be nice to see what the results are. ?I’m curious as to whether dmr will work through hotspots and repeaters.

Im asking as it is a PITB to find stuff in the whatsapp group, and if you are new there, you can't see history..?
I have seen a WiKi and maybe that would be something to use too..?
