Interesting that the power specs have changed, as I understood it the Q900 ran off a 2 cell lithium batt.
If you ever have this apart again, I would be very interested in the actual weight (as GH have several quite different weights in various places), and weights of parts mic,batt, outer case sleeve, pcbs.
i was about to buy a Q900 with an eye to making a light weight carbon case to replace the aluminium outer sleeve, to make it close to my '817s weight (750g incl batts)
