Overview
USAID OurFish OurFuture is seeking a talented Short-Term Technical Assistant (STTA) with expertise in graphic design, photography, videography, and video editing to join our Communications Team. This consultant will play a vital role in producing a variety of print and digital materials, including high-quality visuals and multimedia content that effectively communicate our program results.

About USAID OurFish OurFuture
OurFish OurFuture is a five-year regional initiative (2021-2026) implemented by the University of Rhode Island designed to address the social and ecological challenges of unsustainable fishing in the Pacific Islands. Focused on six countries—Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu—our program aims to protect coastal fisheries and biodiversity while enhancing local livelihoods, food security, and maritime safety.

To support our communication efforts, we are producing a range of publications and visual materials that adhere to USAID’s branding and marking guidelines. We are seeking a skilled consultant who can help develop a wide variety of communication and outreach materials, including visual and multimedia assets.

?

Key Responsibilities

§? Lead the creative process for designing and producing a variety of print and digital communication materials, including banners, brochures, flyers, reports, infographics, social media content, and presentations.

§? Capture high-quality photographs and videos that support our program's goals and communication objectives.

§? Edit video and photographic content for online platforms, presentations, and reports, ensuring the highest standards of quality.

§? Develop and edit artwork, photos, and other graphic elements for both print and digital media.

§? Ensure all designs, photos, and videos adhere to USAID’s branding and marking requirements.

§? Collaborate with the communications team to brainstorm creative concepts, provide design insights, and recommend improvements to visual materials.

§? Support the creation of multimedia content for social media and digital campaigns to engage a broader audience.

Key Requirements

§? Diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia Production, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications and relevant work experience in visual communication and multimedia content creation.

§? Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work, including graphic design, photography, videography, and video editing.

§? Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator), and video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).

§? Demonstrated experience in capturing high-quality photographs and videos, particularly in a field or environmental context.

§? Familiarity with USAID’s Graphic Standards Manual and Partner Co-Branding Guide is a plus.

§? Strong attention to detail with excellent multitasking abilities and the capacity to meet deadlines.

§? Collaborative mindset and the ability to engage in creative brainstorming sessions with the communications team.

§? Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from concept to final delivery.
