International Development Support Services (IDSS), a subsidiary of Oxfam Community Aid Abroad, seeks the following personnel for this five-year AusAID funded project which is in its third year of implementation.

Based in Port Moresby the Coordinator will be responsible for the consistent and effective operation of four Field Level Support Teams. Responsibilities include planning and managing the operation of the teams; coordinating the involvement of National Department of Health staff in support visits, coordinating support of specialist advisors and liaison with senior staff involved with donor assisted programs. Qualifications in Public Health or Health Management are desirable. Experience of managing an integrated health service in a geographically dispersed area will be well regarded.

Based in a rural location, the Advisor will be responsible for the leadership and direction of a small Support Team. Responsibilities include providing technical direction, support and advice in the planning and delivery of a broad range of Family Health Services in a primary health care setting, negotiating with Provincial Health Advisors, Hospital CEOs and District Health Managers and advising and supporting in-service training sessions for health workers. A Qualification in Nursing/midwifery or paediatrics is essential together with experience in the delivery and supervision of training and health care services, preferably in remote areas or in a rural, primary health care setting. Post graduate qualifications in Public Health or Women's and Children's Health will be well regarded.

The Advisor will be responsible for the leadership and direction of a small team working in Bougainville province and will provide technical direction, support and advice in the planning and delivery of a broad range of Family Health Services. Tertiary qualifications, including a post graduate qualification in Women's and Children's Health and/or public health are essential together with experience in the delivery and supervision of training and health care services.

The Advisor will be responsible for the implementation of the Community Action and Participation Program and management of the NGO Grant Scheme and Community Health Liaison Officers. Current or recent PHC, nursing/midwifery or community development experience, experience in community development and experience in the supervision and management of personnel are essential.

Located in Port Moresby the Advisor will be responsible for implementation of the Project's nutrition program activities. Graduate qualifications in Nutrition essential.

Based in Port Moresby the Advisor will be responsible for implementing activities related to the National Immunisation Program and strengthening of the cold chain across all provinces. Applicants should possess post graduate qualifications in Public Health or nursing/midwifery qualifications combined with experience of Expanded Programs of Immunisation.
