VSO is a leading international development agency that works in over 40 countries through Volunteer Professionals.? This post will provide an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to play a pivotal role in a four-year European Union-funded programme aimed at alleviating poverty and improving livelihoods of disadvantaged people within Pacific Island communities.

?

With overall responsibility for co-ordinating this VSO / Just World Partners initiative, you will work with three national implementing organisations (FSP Kiribati, TANGO & FSP Vanuatu) to build managerial, technical, institutional and financial capacity of NGOs and other civil society groups, through long and short-term training, small scale capital and IT support, sharing of best practice, and national and regional linking.

?

You must be self-motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker, have at least three years experience in the NGO sector – ideally overseas – and an excellent understanding of capacity building.? Experience in project coordination or management is essential.
