DC BATTERY SWITCH REPLACEMENT

Wondering if anyone has replaced their battery switch (1, 2, BOTH, OFF ) Intuition has a PERKO - located outside the head in the quarter berth area ( probably standard wiring for most PSC 31's).

The wiring to the switch goes through the wet locker just aft of the head bulkhead. Appears to possibly go behind some teak trim in the head?

Trying to separate the engine and house battery banks completely using a Blue Seas battery switch that in the ON mode routes engine battery to engine and house battery to house DC Panel. It also has a combine mode for emergencies.

After removing the TIE WRAPS, I was able to get enough slack to remove the old 1/ALL/2/OFF Switch, which has just 3 terminals. The new switch (Blue Seas 5511 E Series) has 4 terminals and provide dual circuit Off/On/Combine - separating the house and engine batteries, which was a requirement to migrate to Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries for the HOUSE and AGM for the Engine. Currently using a Victron Smart DC-DC charger to charge the Lithium batteries off either the Alternator or the AC Shore power Mastervolt charger. Using two Victron Shunts to manage the state of charge of HOUSE and ENGINE battery banks.??

Thanks Daryl.

Very nice work. The batteries sit atop the holding tank?

Lisle,
Yes the batteries sit atop the holding tank, which is no longer in use, as I have installed an Airhead composting toilet; which freed up the wet locker behind the head for the new distribution system.
