Trolleyland Electric Railroad
Hello out there, Does anyone have information about the Trolleyland Electric Railway? Another name given was Prairie Park Railway Museum. I had heard of it perhaps 20 years ago, then recently this post came up on RYPN: http://www.rypn.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=46217 There is a fair bit more in those article clips than I ever saw before. It was located in Grand Mound, near the Milwaukee Road tracks and Pacific Highway, north of Centralia. They had built at least 3/4 mile of track, several switches, and placed overhead poles. A mile and a half of ROW or existing line was available to them for running. Roster included three recently retired BCE cars, flatcar, boxcar, wooden Great Northern caboose, a 4-wheel diesel locomotive from St Regis, and a Seattle trolleycoach . It was a project of Richard Hansen, Bob Chamberlain, Don Dietrich, and 10 other people on 15 acres of grassland probably around 1963 through perhaps 1967 or later. What happened? There must be more to the story, and perhaps all these pieces of equipment still exist. The three interurban cars have moved back up to Canada and are preserved there.

Shutdown of my Yahoo! Groups now complete
Hi, gang! As of today, I have completely shut down all of my groups with similar names to the ones you are currently subscribed to the 开云体育 domain. (For TDU, it’s GoogleGroups.) That means that you will no longer have access to those Yahoo-based groups. I have saved the Message Archives for these groups. Over time—and especially with SFMuniHistory—I will work on uploading the saved messages (or as many as possible) to your respective group. Please be patient, because this is a long, arduous process. Yahoo! Groups asked me why I was deleting the group(s). In the box provided, I wrote, “Thanks, Yahoo, for destroying history with no recourse.” Attached is a PDF of what I found on the Archiveteam.org website. It’s a quote from commenter Dan Fletcher in Time Magazine of November 8, 2019. Which pretty much says it all. Milantram (Peter Ehrlich) listowner

Welcome Message
Hi, gang! Welcome to [email protected] ! In it, you will find many files and some pictures that were formerly on the Yahoo! Group of the same name. I’ve sent a message to the Yahoo! group to invite members. I hope that the transition goes successfully! Please feel free to post. However, the first message, under 开云体育 rules, will require my approval See you on the new group! Milantram (Peter Ehrlich) listowner
