Hello everyone, With regards to the map are we going to be able to edit on our end or do we have to get a map on our end and send it marking our area? Please advise. Imani A, Chair

Dear CAWS People interested in maps.
The early maps helped sort out the regional structure of CA. They help groups, areas and regions organize themselves in a way that the physical meeting of group representatives, to work on common goals, could be practically accomplished. But their boarders
were necessarily ambiguous. This because our ideal is always the Least necessary organization. "CA as such ought never be organized". Any codification of such boundaries is a zero sum game between Organization of CA on one hand and group autonomy on the other.
Furthermore, precise definition of such boundaries would first require precise definition of the rules of group/area/region affiliation in the WS Manual. I hope this is not a stealthy approach to such a goal.
I'm not opposed to maps. They are very helpful. But I would ask that the identities and intentions of the authors of this survey be made much more clear.
Thanks for reading.
Henry Allikas, delegate SGPVCA

I’ve added a folder under Photos with a few maps. They are not correct. And I’m not sure we can really figure out geographical boundaries for all the areas in the PSR. IEACA and WIECA are especially difficult. Also, AVACA and SFVCA are confusing to me. I remember
there is also confusion relating to SFVCA and Central California. Further, is Santa Clarita Valley part of SFVCA or AVACA? What about Kern County? This is a major work-in-progress project that affects C.A. as a whole since a world map is being created that
one day might be part of an app that will allow meetings to be found.
ILAS,
Tom?

S&B is working on a project to map all the areas in the world so the maps can potentially be added to the CA.org website should the conference approve the concept. We have searched all the archives for petition information and have collected a great deal
of the information but the PSR is still not completed. Because most of our areas were established so long ago there is no historical data available. As such, we are asking each area to please assist by providing a rough drawing of their areas.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. I would love to hear all your feedback and information!!! Thanks for your assistance!
