The family I am researching in PA is Tobias, originally settled in Bern County, PA. Hans Jost > Ludwig > John > Daniel > Thomas Jefferson.
Daniel an innkeeper, operated The Black Horse Hotel at Fox Valley, Reilly Twsp, Schuylkil Co., PA; was postmaster at Swatara (1848). Would like to learn more about this inn.

I have a Thomas Jefferson Tobias (born around 1846), son of Daniel. Daniel married Catherine Hoffa. Catherine was born around 1797. (Catherine was my ggg aunt.) I have info on Catherine’s ancestors but nothing more on Daniel’s.

Yes, Thomas Jefferson Tobias, b. 10 Oct 1846, Schuylkill County, PA, died 18 Jan 1938, Washington, CD. He married about 1867, Elizabeth Ann “Lizzie” Wood from St. Clair, Schuylkill County, PA. The family I research descends from his son Dr. Henry Wood Tobias, b. 8 May 1876, Donaldson, Schuylkill County, PA, died 6 Oct 1968, Ashton, MD.

Catherine Hoffa - I have seen some interesting newspaper accounts of her long life.
