The Gray Divorce phenomenon is unique in that it’s happening to people in long-time marriage/partnerships, who are getting closer to retirement and with older, most likely adult children. It’s a stressful, challenging time filled with lots of loss/grief/sadness, shame, confusion, fear and worry about the future in ways that are different than younger people going through separation/divorce. It’s also an opportunity to learn more about oneself and how to manage alone, develop coping skills, feel hope and grow in many ways. People will share their experiences, learn calming, emotional regulation skills, share resources and learn Bold, Brave ways to move through this most difficult of transitions. What type of group? This will be a psycho-educational group and not be an insurance reimbursable group.
