Webinar Uncontrolled crossings RISK ASSESSMENT June 12 @ 11:30 AM Eastern
Hi everyone!? The second in our series of free webinars for the South Africa Low Vision Centre of Learning is next week, Wednesday morning June 12 at 11:30 AM Eastern.? The link to register is at the end of this message.? It will be recorded and posted for free afterwards.
?
In this webinar, we will present different situations to 3 volunteers and guide them through the process of?
1) recognizing if they can be confident in that situation that it will be clear to cross whenever it's quiet and
2) if not, analyze what the risk of crossing would be, knowing that when they start crossing, there might be a vehicle approaching that would have to stop for them.
?
VOLUNTEER STUDENT???? If you'd like to be one of the "students" please contact me.? You'd join Jolene or me for about 10 minutes the evening or morning before the webinar to develop a good intuitive understanding of "your" 7-second crossing time.
?
Thanks!

Uh-oh!? You find yourself at a street where you cannot be sure whether it is clear to cross -- now what?? In this session we will consider what"safe" means, look at the factors that help us assess the level of risk of that crossing situation, and talk about what can be done if the risk is not acceptable.
