In northern Europe, many countries celebrate St Nicholas Day on Dec 6th, where a kindly man dressed in a red robe, distribute gifts and goodies to good boys and girls and leave behind sticks and coals to naughty children. This tradition started back in the 3rd century was brought over to the new world (New York) by the early Dutch and evolved into our current Santa Claus Christmas.. I was exposed to this tradition when I met my future wife (whose family migrated from Luxembourg to Wisconsin in the 19th century). The biggest problem was putting 12 foot sheets on your head - climbing the ladder and screwing the sheet to the ceiling. Gotta make cripples to hold it in place. The walls and ceiling have their drywall hung. I got all the sheet rock up and now it's time to tape and mud the room. Not looking forward to this. I can do it, I've done it many times in the past, but I'm not the best drywall finisher around. I've been trying different alternatives for medications and I like these people since my doctor put me on blood pressure medication. Controversial yes, but I was concerned about side effects from the prescriptions he wants me to take. Like to hear other opinions. https://www.healthalert.com/ I sure have more energy. -Steve Hatch

One of my 2 dogs died. She's been a bit sleepy for a couple days and then didn't come when i called her in last night. I found her this morning under a tree. i just finished burying Sophie. Teddy (other dog) helped me with the digging. I guess she was about 12 or so. Never know with rescue dogs just how old they are. Sad. I'll get over it because she was happy here for the last 6 years. At least there is that. Teddy and the cat think we should go get another one. I think so too. Chickens didn't say. -Steve
