I hope you all enjoyed turkey day.
? And while I'm at it , hope everybody has festive and wonderful winter holidays.?
Arizona is still a nice place to live for me.?? I get back to Ukiah and walk the property
a couple times a year.?? Ol knees are still working OK so I can climb the Coastal range hills.
My brother lives in Niles canyon in Sunol and I usually stop there on my sojourns? North.

We're still fighting here? about who cheated the most in this last election.? Seems someone
took videos of many cars pulling up and dumping many hundreds of Ballots in the drop boxes
at night in the dark.???
? So no one trusts the final tally s..
Grand kids are fine.? What a world they've inherited.??? Was it simpler when we were young???

Stephen, Does your brother live in what used to be called Kilcare Woods?? My grandparents had a "summer home" there when I was a child.? Loved the place. Later, I tried to find a place to buy there but nothing worked out.

To all the folks from class of '59, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.? Hope we all can say that for another

Steve, in your comment about valid election results.? I remember traveling thru Texas in 1964 reporting to Fort Gordon, Ga

to begin my military obligation, and staying with the local Texans ,,they were still talking about the stolen election by LBJ.

In 1948 U.S. senate election in Texas, LBJ ran for democratic nomination for one of the two seats in the U.S. senate from

Texas. Johnson won the primary by only 87 votes.(Texas then was a one party state like Calif now).. His opponent

persuaded a Federal judge to issue an order taking LBJ name off the general election ballot while the primary results were being contested.

There were serious allegation of corruptions in the voting processing including 200 votes for Johnson from a Texas border

town which arrived late and cast in alphabetical order and the voters seems to have the same handwriting style.Johnson

asked lawyer Abe Fortas for help...and Fortas persuaded Supreme Court Hugo Black to overturn the ruling.? Johnson

then won the general election and became a U.S. senator. (it should be noted that Fortas and Black are friends}.

Able Fortas later was appointed to the U.S. supreme court? by LBJ and subsequently Johnson tried to elevate him to

be Chief supreme? court justice when Earl Warren wanted to retire, but that effort failed as the media reported Fortas was

receiving outside monetary kickbacks. He eventually resigned from the supreme court.

Historian Robert Caro has a four volume books series on LBJ and the most definitive.?

Hello to Andy and Everyone. ?Happy Holidays to all! ?So far, we’re doing well here. ?We’ve gotten all our shots, and we continue to mask in most situations. ?We’re taking a flight next week and will mask during the times we’re not eating or drinking. ?Earlier this week I exchanged phone calls with Louie Barranco from Roosevelt JHS and OHS. ?He recently moved to Tennessee, but was in Castro Valley to tie up loose ends. ?On a recent drive to Tennessee, he stopped by to visit Astrida Kocins In Idaho. ?Stay well, Everyone. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Hello to all from Roseville CA

Wife and I are spending this Christmas (and everyone from here on out)? in our home in Sun City Roseville. We moved out of Cool in January to our final home, My next move will be feet first to where ever I'm taken. Sun City is a Del Webb? senior community with tons of activities for those who want to stay active. My golf cart sits in the garage as I have yet to play on our two courses however, I'm still going out on the water to catch that big monster. My tennis racket and skis are gone now that my body has slowed down. Those two sports were a fun run while they lasted. Maybe I'll try pickle ball and and corn hole.

Getting back to Sun City, we like how close we are to shopping and restaurants but the car traffic here is crazy busy, Three cars at an intersection in Cool is considered a traffic jam. However like our home in Cool, there is a green belt behind us without neighbors. Just trees.

Merry Christmas to my? Oakland High classmates, I enjoy hearing from all of you.
