Water main break (again!) on Oak Grove Avenue

Chuff Afflerbach All Messages By This Member #97 Hi, neighbors, By now, you have probably seen or heard about the break in the water main on the lower end of Oak Grove. It was discovered and reported early Sunday morning, and the repair work began early last night. They were still working well past midnight. This morning at 9:00am I heard the jackhammer drilling again. They are now digging up the new asphalt and starting over. A worker told me that the old leak was repaired, but when the hole was filled and paved over, that must have started a new leak. It looks like they will be at it all day today. We did notice the water pressure dropping last night, but it was never completely shut off. Here’s hoping they fix it this time! Regards, Chuck at 5632 OG
